Overview

Since 2015 IMS has been under contract to supply, service, maintain and commission wood-working and metal-working machinery across all MoD sites including workshops onboard ships.

The contract covers over 200 British Army, Royal Navy, and Royal Air Force workshops in the UK and overseas.

Scope of Works

• The servicing, repair and maintenance of existing workshop equipment
• Procurement, supply and commissioning of new workshop machinery and spare parts
• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to all workshop related equipment
• Reactive works – breakdown and repair
• Upgrades taking the form of remedial works, alterations and commissioning are carried out on equipment on site in order to comply with PUWER
• Technical compliance for the equipment on site covering:
  • LOTO – Lock Out Tag Out
  • PUWER – Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations
  • LEV – Local Exhaust & Ventilation
  • Electrical Safety Checks & Mechanical Safety Checks
