Overview

Location: HM Naval Base, Portsmouth
Works Description: Phased Site Wide Lighting Replacement Program

The project comprised of installing approximately 5,000 LED light fittings and controls across a range of 12 buildings including office space, medical centres, accommodation blocks and warehouse facilities. The project was successfully delivered within an extremely tight 16 week timeline.

During the tender phase we tailored our bid to take into account the quality and longevity of equipment, supply chain delivery capability, and commercial viability. This resulted in IMS being awarded the project.

Scope of Works

• Production of full working design for the various solutions, including comprehensive DALI control systems
• Working with the client energy manager to obtain a government grant for on peak reduction of energy consumption
• Production of full safe systems of work including construction phase health and safety plans and site safety documentation in accordance with the CDM regulations
• Fully managed works on site with a dedicated contract management team, on site project manager and site supervisor liaising with the client and occupants of the various buildings
• Compilation of fully compliant and comprehensive commissioning and handover documentation
