The St Jerome’s Centre, Kenya
In May 2009 three students, Gemma, Becky and Ben were doing volunteer work in the town of Nakuru in Kenya. Shocked by the number of homeless kids in Nakuru, they decided to build an orphanage. The St Jerome’s Centre was officially opened in January 2012 and is slowly growing as a UK registered charity, run by a small group of trustees.
The St Jerome’s Centre is currently home to 31 children who would otherwise be fending for themselves on the streets. It’s an amazing achievement which deserves our support.
Our monthly standing order goes directly to St Jerome’s and contributes towards general running costs and on-going improvements.
Update from The St Jerome’s Centre

We were delighted to receive a video message of thanks from all the staff and pupils of The St Jerome’s Centre in Kenya…
Jofi Modern School – The Gambia
The Jofi Modern School was founded in 2009 by Fiona and Joseph Kajue with the aim of providing help and education to children from poor backgrounds. In the early days they rented a basic mud brick building on the edge of a rubbish pit with just 9 children.
Attendance at the school has now risen to over 150 children. Our donations go directly to Jofi Modern School and contribute towards general running costs and on-going improvements.
The aim is to improve and maintain the school for future generations and enable local children to enjoy a better standard of education and wellbeing.
